    I'm sure it will hit me hard when McCartney dies. Or when Lou Brock (my childhood hero) dies.

    I don't know about Garth Brook, but I saw Garth Brooks in concert a year ago. He was great.

    dr. seuss. had to walk to school that day, and recall being a bit sad by it all. but tears? nah - family and friends get tears.

    Yes, I was living under a rock ten years ago when Payne Stewart died. It wasn't until a few days ago (when ESPN showed the segment about his son) that I was educated on the details of his victory, his reaction with Lefty and then the horrible plane crash. It's as if I just got the news, so I've been thinking about it all week.
