Casting a Blue Chips remake

    Has anyone asked about "a rumor" as a ruse and when the person blows it off, says its BS or whatever, you come back with the goods?

    I will say this - in today's media, doing what Ed did is a good way to get to the "next level."

    I feel terrible for his competition.

    *Calls the desk at 8 p.m.*

    "Yeah we're not tipping until 9. Game should be over at 11:10. I'll have you 500 words by 11:15, and then I'll get a re-write through for the second. Just gonna dip into the presser and get a quote or two from the coach."

    *Calls the desk at 11:25 p.m.*

    "I have no idea what just happened, but coach just melted down. I've got no other sources, and no particular details about what happened. No - I'm not making deadline."
