Rangel's dealings with the Apollo Theater were worse than this.

As follow up Charlie now claims that he forgot about $75,000 in rental income when filing his taxes. We also find out that Charlie received interst free loan when buying his condo.

Nice conflict from the head of ways and means - responsible for writing the tax code

    See ya Charlie

Yep. He's a sleazebag. Been one, all his life.

Line him up against the wall, with the others . . .

Wall's getting crowded -- most recently, by DeLay/Abramoff-type GOP lifers.

Why is this thread not on the Politics board?

Perhaps because its news. More likely because thread was started before Politics spin off.

Really you should be worred more about Charlie Rangel writing our tax code and not paying his own share than thread placement.

For all the crap "the media" has received lately, I think the Post did a good job on this story. Bias or perceived bias aside, the truth is the truth.

It's amazing the shit that slips the mind of the average elected official.

My dad wanted me to work for him several years ago. I told my dad how much of a shitbag he is, bought off years ago by real estate execs who forced him not to sign off on the selling of decrepit Harlem brownstones for $1 each in the 70's. Now those Brownstones are newly renovated and worth over $1 million a piece, affordable to non-harlem residents, opening the door to the gentrification of that part of the city.

fuck him. I don't know why my ex-girlfriend works for the guy.

Of all the things I have read on this board, a "see ya" from Boom is as close to a lead-pipe lock as you'll find.
