    Rejoice, Chiefs fans.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) – Kansas City Chiefs president Carl Peterson resigns, effective at the end of the season.

It's the best thing he's done for the franchise since drafting Tony Gonzalez.

Now, Clark Hunt: locate Bill Cowher. Pay him some cash. Let him run the fucking team.

This move makes the most sense for Cowher.

I thought Cowher would want go somewhere he could win.

All these guys want to go places where there is nowhere to go but up.

I think KC falls into that category.

We could see 10-12 coaching changes this off-season.

Yup. I think he was with Schottenheimer very early in his KC tenure. He saw the transformation that town underwent when the Chiefs got good.

KC is still a Chiefs town. Arrowhead, when the Chiefs are good, remains one of the top three toughest venues in the league. Plus, the AFC West is right there for the taking, as long as Al Davis and Norv Turner are around. Though I suspect Norv isn't long for San Diego.

But with LT starting to hit a wall, SD is not on the upswing, regardless of their coach.

Six losses by seven points or less. This team is not all that far away from winning.
