    Dear Geoff
You are starting to make the rest of us look bad.
Please quit being nominated and winning so many awards.
Maybe we should have a sticky that says "Who's honoring Calkins now."
Sort of like the bit Colbert does, but this time around it is the Society for Professional Journalists and its Green Eyeshade Awards.
The list follows, I think I included all the sports finalists. Congrats to all listed and my apologies if I missed someone.

    Thanks
    Jay
P.S. Does Nikki still dress like a whore?

This has to be a southern regional list... where is Rob Parker on this list?

    Dear Jay,

The problem isn't that I keep winning stuff, the problem is that you keep pointing it out.
Besides, it's the same five columns entered in every contest.
I do like being nominated along Shelton and Bianchi, though. That's some damn fine company.

    >>> I can say that with a great degree of confidence that all journalism awards are a joke.<<< - from deep in the heart thread.

so you're saying journalism awards are a joke on one thread and congratulating your buddy on another. what gives with the split personality?

of course, the burning question to all of this is "who is nikki and does she pull of the "dress like a whore" look well? maybe a photo would help us all offer well-researched input.
