Don't know and don't know who the replacement positions players are. Looked it up because I think Brown is probably better than most would remember him being,

Our memories are often flawed. I think none of them are Mussina, who should be in easily.

The current definition of padding counting stats is Bartolo Colon

In a ranking with the guys listed previously?

Mussina, Sabathia, Brown, Cone, Stieb, Pettitte, John, Kaat, Hershiser, Martinez

Will plus one that. Stieb was way better than people realized and gave him credit for.

    His slider was so nasty.

Jeff Weaver had a similar slider, but not as effective for as long as Stieb though.

That seems right (not sure about Stieb / Pettitte). Where would you put your HOF border in that list?

Between Kaat and Hershiser. I could probably be argued to between John and Kaat but I'm a big hall guy.

You think Hershier was hurt a lot by his last 3-4 seasons? Guess in 96, he was 15-9 with a 4.24 ERA, but the next three seasons it was
4.47, 4.41 and 4.58. In 2000 he made 6 starts and 4 relief appearances and was pounded 13.14. If he retired in 97 or 98 he wouldn't
have 200 wins, but the ERA would be lower.
