That's right, and the good thing is they can hire illegals and not worry about having to make up the balance on the payroll.

    Bureaucrats are people, too.

And Fenian, never, ever compare Yawn to Paul Wellstone again, I beg of you.

That was a little much for the ticker first thing in the morning.

You know, I live in Teddy Kennedy's state and usually vote Democratic, but I've never worshipped at the altar of social work or social workers. Someone must have neglected to tell me about those indoctrination sessions, which is strange, since you'd figure they were mandatory.

Dammit you woke the thread up.

$7.25 and hour is a good figure for a minimum wage.
I think it's fine. Having started my working career, in fast food, at $3.35 and hour, I think the gradual rise is sufficient.
Many of these people haven't had the means to seek anything better job-wise, but many of them simply haven't gone out and bettered themselves.
    It's a mixed bag.
But the hike up to $7.25 is plenty for them to do something with.

    Ah.

Blitz, I certainly hope you never have to dip back down to $7.25 to find out how "plenty" that is.
