    It takes a lot of money to look that cheap....

    Some parts of this story are pinging my BS detector. Namely that he meticulously keeps expenses - to the penny! - in a spreadsheet, but somehow doesn't have a running total at the bottom? I'm a little bit skeptical about the statement that he estimated that he spent $250,000 on clothes but OHMYGOSH it was actually $550,000. It doesn't call the entire piece into question, but I think it shows that he exaggerates for effect.
