Guess all those jewelry stores and botiques on Fifth Avenue aren't buying many half-page ads.

It's nice to see you react with smugness over the state of the NYT, because those journalists who work there, they don't count as people, do they?

  3. For all the bitching about the NYT because of its editorial page stances, I think it does a tremendous job covering both presidential candidates' campaigns equally, something that can't be said for most news services. For example, the recent story about McCain's development from a background player to pretty much the most powerful member of the Senate was really interesting.

This week the NY Times had a front-page staff story about street drag racing in Poland.

Best thing about the Times is isn't going hyperlocal and still has the staff and resources to do big stories and quirky stories all over the place.

Crow all you want, but when the Times starts pulling back because those boutiques aren't advertising, we'll lose a lot.

    No.

they live in New York, home to traffic, commerce, culture and all sorts of scary dark-skinned people with their pants hanging low, and the Times are the liberal pussies ruining America. Fuck them all. Move to Florida.

And everybody who works there is a closet Night Ranger fan so clearly they have no taste in music either.

Oh, you're just being a dense dipshit.

Anybody in this biz who would gloat about any paper's problems right now is an unmitigated asshole.
