I'm thinking the relevancy here is that if you take that quote, remove the name from it and ask people to guess the position of the person who said it, PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES would probably be well down the list.

I like the google with the series of tubes.

When you hear someone say "the google", you automatically know he doesn't have a clue.

I always thought the biggest tip off was "Hello, I'm George W. Bush."

Did W used to wear alcohol googles?

(BTW, the Google Earth shot of my hometown dates from April 2004. I know because I see construction at the town's football field and I was still in my old house. My vehicle is parked where I always used to park.)

That Google Earth rocks goes without saying. But "the google?" Maybe he's responsible for The Ohio State University.

Actually, it's a very sad, revealing bit of dialogue.

    Makes you feel sorry for the guy . . . almost . . . nah . . .

it's definitely a generational thing but it's relevant because it shows how out of touch he is with mainstream middle class america. republicans and democrats alike use google every day. it's become part of the way we live for many people, as indispensible as say, cable TV or downloadable music, though not as crucial as a car. and he's never heard of it.

otoh, clinton sent only one e-mail in his eight years in the white house - he sent it to himself when someone was showing him the concept of e-mail.

I wonder if W knows about the UPC scanners at the supermarkets.

For some reason, I thought Clinton was more Internet savvy than that. Interesting to note that he wasn't.
