Bush comes out strong against Congress "fishing expedition"

Discussion in 'Sports and News' started by KnuteRockne, Mar 20, 2007.

  1. Yeah, it was the Watergate transcripts moment, with attitude.
Oh, and Miers and Rove are "honorable people."

I don't think W. is a bad guy. I think that he's surrounded himself with very, very bad people. There was some talk on here about the Rolling Stone Cheney article. I thought the recent Time analysis of Cheney's dwindling clout was much more illuminating. Check it out of you get a chance. Bad person.

Can you believe Miers was a Supreme Court nominee? Un-fucking-believable.

I hate to be the one to tell you this, but merely putting a layer of insulation between yourself and a complete disregard for democracy and the office to which you have been elected doesn't make you a good guy.

He knows what is done on his behalf, or he's too stupid to care.

Either way he's a bad guy. That's the way it works.

    You're behind everyone, apparently.

There are a lot of things that are too complex for the American public to "get." The Scooter Libby trial, for example.

But "don't make 'em testify under oath" is a really, really simple, almost "playground" concept.

I don't think this one will go over well with even the stupidest Americans.

    So Blanco's out, right?
Does that make it Breaux v. Jindal?

I hope so. I am ready to pop the popcorn for that one.

Don't be so sure Luggy. Thems the ones who support him the most.

We all -- conservatives and liberals -- should be appalled with how this administration has treated those its supposed to represent. It acts as if its holier than thou and treats with tremendous disdain anyone who has the courage to criticize or question.

If you're not for us, you're against us. Well, President Bush and his sycophants are against us.

    I bet Tony Snow's opinion hasn't changed.

Just his comments on the matter.
