The level of bravery, heroism and decisiveness we once thought required to hold that office have been greatly reduced over the past six years.

Forgive us, we're still adjusting our expectations.

Sorry, dog, but the Presidential Bravery, Heroism and Decisiveness train left the station sometime around around January of 1993 when the country elected by plurality a person who admitted that he hated the military. If you haven't adjusted your expectations, it's your slowness that's the issue.

  3. And we have the most pathetic one of all - he didn't want to scare the children.
    Bullshit.
You get up. You make a nice little speech about having to go be president. And then you leave. Period. I like the complex relationship between the alibis a) "Well, there might have been terrorists seeking to kill him!" and b) "He didn't want to scare the kids." If A is true, then he endangered the kids by freezing for seven minutes while the terrorists were coming to get him. And, if there was an "operational plan" to have him hopscotch the country, why did the White House have to maintain the public lie for a week that they had "credible" information that a plane had targeted Air Force One, which they later admitted was false. And, anyway, before the "fool the terrorists" card is played, ask yourself why, if they actually HAD such information, they kept putting AF1 in the air.
