Strikes me as funny that BK would allow an ambulance in commercial with one of their fat laden sandwiches.

It's advertising their express-delivery service to local hospitals.

The Buckdouble is one of America's greatest fast food values.

Burger King has funny commercials. And they work. The proof is in this thread you started. Here we are talking about Burger King.

But do you really want to connect an ambulance to fast food?

You see an ambulance as a negative connection to fast food.

I see the EMS workers eating breakfast and the commercial telling me "these people get up early, and they can still get a good-tasting, convenient breakfast, for cheap before their shift."

That's why the other commercials also include other types of workers. But that's just me.
