You're not going to hit me, rook, because you're already thinking about it.

    AMC. Now.

I work with a woman who has never seen this movie not on cable. I meant to bring it to the office today and hand it to her.

    Indeed.

And if there was one chick who'd know you were pulling your hips out early, it'd be Annie. Robert Wuhl at his finest.

One of the writers there taking notes as Nuke talks about his first start is Kip Coons, who was the Durham Bulls beat writer for the Durham Morning Herald at the time. He just takes notes and says nothing. They paid an actor to portray a sportswriter and ask Nook, "How does it feel?" (or something like that ... I don't remember the exact quote.)

    More Wuhl at his finest:

    What's our record Larry?

    8 and 16

8 and 16. How did we ever win eight?

    It's a miracle.

They don't let you speak unless you're a member of SAG.

Robert Wuhl at his finest was actually as Newbomb Turk in Hollywood Knights. Nobody could fart their way through Volare like he did.

But his role in Bull Durham was pretty damn close to perfection.
