Oh so NOW they are for changing things through the legislative process. Interesting. They were suggesting to Buffet that instead of getting the law changed, he should just volunteer to do it his own way.

Yes, those drug dealers are so poor. And yes, they will pay income tax if it is built into a sales tax, such as the fair tax suggests.
Obviously I was speaking of income taxes.
There are a ton of folks in the country who do not pay taxes. If they were forced by paying them at the register...guess what??? You got it, tax revenue.

No, of course Buffet was always welcome to lobby for higher taxes. They said that even within our approach, we aren't stopping those who disagree from voluntarily donating from their wealth - in other words, do whatever you want with your money, but don't sign the rest of us up.

Yes, because imposing an income tax on people with no income is a sure-fire solution to all a nation's woes.

Such is the intellect of the modern GOP kingmaker.

The 'poorest' I referred to are the welfare recipients. We'll balance the national books by taxing the welfare we gave the poor out of our taxes?

There are easy ways around this. Government issued debit cards, ie EBT Cash/Food. (disabled, unemployment benefits, etc) However, those paying with cash, no matter how it is obtained...must pay the tax.

    C'mon, man. This is simple.

That's a bastard of a suggestion. That's like saying "We aren't going to pass a tax to pave that road, but you are welcome to go to Lowe's and buy some concrete and start pouring."

Not only is it stupid, it's arrogant. And it's not to the point. Buffet's point was that he was undertaxed. Instead of challenging that notion - and evidently, it could be challenged - they deflected from it with a "if you are undertaxed, volunteer your money to the government" arrogant bullshit argument.

I'm not sure why you're so offended by this, I assume at some point they made the argument for their economic approach.

Yeah awesome let's make the welfare mother with $200 a week to live on pay $2.50 instead of $2.25 for a loaf of bread, so the One Percent doesn't have to pay one goddamn mother fucking nickel more in taxes. For After All, They Are The Job Creators.

You know, of course, the Uberclass wants to cut all that shit out. Completely.

    And yes, it's simple.

A simple solution for the simple-minded.

Now, calling McConnell Al Davis is equating the GOP to the Raiders...tred lightly there.

Forgot Herman Cain as Brandon Davies.

Are you equally offended by those who say "if you don't like abortion, don't have one?"
