    In my freshman English class in college (29 years ago), the teacher was giving examples of how the word "that" could be used about four times in a row in a sentence or something like that. But I was staring at this cute girl named Prudie and wasn't really paying attention to how it worked.

    In another twist my English teacher was a Czechoslovachian guy named Zoran Kuzmanovic. I sometimes wondered if I had wondered into an "English as a second language" class. But he was pretty cool. We all skipped out one afternoon and met at an afternoon game for the local MLB club.
