Bud Light Lime

Discussion in 'Anything goes' started by Ace, Feb 8, 2016.

  1. Nope.
Don't care. If the water is shit, good chance so is the beer.

Although in fairness Coors, which claims to use the best water, puts out a consistently shitty beer.

Corona is pretty crap-tacular, but not all Mexican beer is bad. Negra Modelo is actually pretty good and Tecate is easy to drink.

I believe that's why they launched Bud Light Lime, to tap into the Hispanic market. But it's still Bud Light.

And the lime tastes unnatural. They did the same with Coke and it was just as bad.

I like Sierra Nevada sans lime, but I also like it with a lime on occasion.
Same with Tecate. Good without lime, and good with lime.

There really are no "Mexican" beers, anymore. There used to be some good examples of Vienna lagers (the traditional "Mexican" style) produced in Mexico, but they're all just watered-down adjunct lagers like Bud, Miller, and Coors, now.

I was with you on the limes until now. Put limes in shitty beer to make it better. Don't put limes in Sierra Nevada.

If someone puts a lime in my Anchor Steam, they are a terrorist.

It tastes unnatural because it is unnatural.
