    This award means nothing. It should have been given to him years ago, not after he's died and after a firestorm of controversy over the fact he didn't make the baseball HOF. The government's trying to create some positive PR for itself at the HOF's expense. Both groups have disrespected the memory of a truly great man; one by ignoring him and the other by only recognizing him after he's passed on. His family will do the right thing and take the honor graciously, but it's still a shame that a wonderful human being wasn't able to actually enjoy all the accolades he deserved...
