Bubba Smith funeral (8/11 at 1 p.m. in L.A.)

    The Beaumont Enterprise is looking for a freelance writer to write from Bubba Smith's funeral in L.A. on Aug. 11 at 1 p.m.

    His funeral is Thursday in Los Angeles. Former professional football player and actor Rev. Roosevelt Grier will officiate over the service.

    The service will take place at 3 p.m. Beaumont time at Crenshaw Christian Center in Los Angeles. The center seats about 1,000 people, but an overflow crowd might arrive.
