Pretty sure it was Bentinck Township near Grey Road 4 (old Highway 4). May very well have been in the vicinity of Allan Park. I can easily find out the lot and concession number if you really want to know.

EDIT: The Johnston family, including daughter Margaret, future wife of Joseph Harper, lived on Lots 54-56 of Concession 2 SDR (South of the Durham Road), Bentinck Township. This would have been one road south of Allan Park, between Durham and Hanover.

In 1958, the year before the future PM was born, the Johnstons moved to a different farm on Lots 59-61. This is where Stephen would have visited his grandparents as a child. Margaret's parents lived here until 1975, when they moved to Hanover.

Interestingly, John Diefenbaker's birthplace is no more than a 15-minute drive away from where Stephen Harper's mother grew up.

Funnily enough, went out with a woman a long time ago from Bentinck Township, Concession Four, new Elmwood. Can't remember the lot number. Second farm in.

Dief was born in Neustadt. HC & I have been there a couple of times. Good brewery.

Friend of mine is a music bidness bigshot here in Canuckistan and he is planning on taking in Springsteen's keynote address at SXSW in March. I told him I could give a shit what the Boss has to say about anything unless he has a guitar in his hand.

I find it frustrating to watch interviews with him, he tends to go around in circles, not say much of anything and emit that cackle of his every five seconds. He is far more eloquent on stage and record.

Maybe Thomas is angling to be the running mate for Gingrich. They seem to share the same philosophy. Like a lot of Republicans. Screw up. Get caught. Blame the media.
