Good hire. McDaniels was a good fit in New England and should work well with Cutler.

Minor edit request. His last name is McDaniels, not McDaniel.

    It's McDaniels.

And kudos to another John Carroll University graduate to become an NFL coach. He will follow in Don Shula's footsteps.

No problem. I didn't want to come off sounding like an ass in pointing it out.

There's another guy dead to Belichick.

Don't worry, I'm used to people treating me like crap today. Especially on this board :D

I think he has a chance to be a very good head coach. Dad's one of the best high school football coaches in the state of Ohio, and he learned under two of the best in Nick Saban and Bill Belichick. So long as he doesn't take some of Saban and Belichick's personality traits and people skills, he should do fine.

He better have a hell of a plan for that dogshit defense.

A pretty good case could be made that those personality traits and people skills are what help make them such great coaches.

I'm a bit surprised they went with an offensive guy. McDaniels has to get a good defensive staff or all his offensive geniusosity won't matter.
