I can't. Fisher was on a hot seat when they started 0-4 a few years ago, and he works for one of the more passive owners in the league.

Jeff Fisher is more accountable for himself than Mike Shanahan ever was. He's not as snarky or insufferable to the media, isn't nearly as quick to throw assistant coaches or players in front of the train and has time and again proven that a little patience by Bud Adams will pay off.

Adams would be nuts to jettison Fisher anytime soon.

No that would be Mike Tice, who beat Mike Sherman, who belongs on that list with two playoff wins (San Francisco in 2001, Seattle in 2003).

Well, considering Shanahan is 2-0 in Super Bowls, he does win consistently when he makes one.

Denver has won one division title since Elway retired. One. And the AFC West is not a good division. Oakland has been the division's only Super Bowl team since Denver won back-to-back. Since Elway retired, Denver has been to the playoffs four times and missed it six times. Since that one division title in 2004, Shanahan's Broncos have gone .500 in a mediocre to awful division.

And this year's meltdown wasn't the first for a Shanahan team. Don't forget 2006. All the Broncos had to do was beat a bad San Francisco team in Denver to make the playoffs. Denver lost in overtime.

EDIT--Herm Edwards has as many division titles and playoff appearances as Shanahan this decade.

You are talking about a guy going 8-8 like it's the end of the fucking world.

The same sort of morons called for Shula's head in 1995. All it took after that lunacy was a dozen years in the wilderness.
