Broke 90 ... again ... yesterday

Back in 2002 I had a job that allowed me to play almost every day. I'd gotten down to 83 (best round) and averaged about 85. Then, I took a job that afforded me absolutely zero time to play. I've struggled since to get back to 90, and now below. It was lots of fun when I realized it was going to be close.

48 on the front. 41 on the back.

Two 8s on the front, dropping one in the water on each.

The back was pretty fun. Ended with four pars and a birdie.

Anyone else hit a milestone recently? Or, just have some good stories?

Two eights and under 90?
Somebody got the hot putter, I'm thinking.

 

I missed a hole in one by about three feet once and finished with a bogey.

 

I did, in fact. Several nice up-and-downs for par.

 

Channelled a little Seve, did we?

 

Could have also chipped/pitched a few close enough for kick-ins.

I finally got my clubs back, but arthritis tends to get at the elbows if I play too often. Knees start to creak, as well.

 

I thought this thread was about hours worked.

Congratulations, 3BF. I can dream of breaking 90, but I'd have to break 100 first.

 

I played quite a bit this fall. I didn't have class on Friday last semester, and some buddies and I played about three times a month.

Those rounds helped me a lot. I found the groove I'd been missing with my driver, and rolled two past 300 yesterday -- one on a 320 yard hole I eventually bogied *shakes head in shame*.

Like they say, you drive for show ...

 

See, that's why I play with another guy who sucks. That way I don't feel so bad. Pretty sure we both shot 108s last time.
