The Cast: Includes 1988 Olympic Gold Medalist two-time World Champion and four-time U.S. National Champion Brian Boitano, three-time National Champion and two-time World bronze medalist Michael Weiss, 2008 World Champion and 2006 Olympic Bronze Medalist Jeffrey Buttle, two-time Olympic Silver Medalist and three-time World Champion Elvis Stojko, eight-time British National Champion and three-time Olympian Steven Cousins, three-time U.S. National Bronze Medalist and World Medalist Caryn Kadavy, 2003 World Ice Dancing Champion and ten-time Canadian National Ice Dancing Champion Shae-Lynn Bourne, two-time World Ice Dancing Silver Medalists and five-time Canadian National Ice Dancing Champions Marie-France Dubreuil and Patrice Lauzon, and two-time European Champion and 1984 Olympic Bronze Medalist Jozef Sabovcik.

The Music- REO Speedwagon: Formed in 1967, REO Speedwagon grew in popularity during the 1970s and peaked in the early 1980s, charting two number one songs, "Keep On Loving You” and "Can’t Fight This Feeling”. Their 1981 album “Hi Infidelity” became the group’s most commercially successful album, selling over 10 million copies and charting four Top 40 hits in the US. The album remained on the charts for 65 weeks, 32 of which were spent in the top ten, including three months at number one. Over the course of its career, the band has sold more than 40 million records and has charted 13 Top 40 hits including "Take It on the Run” and "Keep the Fire Burnin". Their 1982 and 1984 follow-up albums “Good Trouble” (1982) and “Wheels Are Turnin” (1984) did well commercially, the former containing the hit singles "Keep the Fire Burnin" (U.S. #7) and "Sweet Time" (U.S. #26) and the latter containing the #1 hit single "Can’t Fight This Feeling", with three additional hits: "I Do’ Wanna Know" (U.S. #29), "One Lonely Night" (U.S. #19) and "Live Every Moment" (U.S. #34). REO Speedwagon took its name from the REO Speed Wagon, a flatbed truck and fire engine, manufactured by the REO Motor Car Company. Their new album “Find Your Own Way Home” is the band’s first studio collection of new material in over a decade.

Rick Springfield: The Australian-American songwriter, actor and heart-throb dropped out of high school in 1967 to begin his professional music career and within a few years he quickly became a teen icon and by 1981, a rock legend and soap opera star. With 17 top 40 hits and 20 million records sold, the now 60 year-old rock legend is not showing any signs of slowing down, touring the globe, guest-appearing on General Hospital and guest-starring on the hit Showtime original series “Californication” starring David Duchovny. As a musician, he is most famous for the 1981 #1 hit-single "Jessie’s Girl", which became a Grammy Award-winning landmark of 1980s pop-rock and helped establish the emerging music video age. As an actor, Springfield’s best known role is the character Dr. Noah Drake on the daytime drama General Hospital. "Speak to the Sky", from Springfield’s first album “Beginning”, was re-released as a single in the US, and reached #14 in the Billboard Top 100. Exposure on American Bandstand, as well as being regularly featured in teen fan magazines such as 16 Magazine and Tiger Beat, sparked interest amongst teenage girls. In 1973, the Saturday morning cartoon called Mission: Magic! was centered around Springfield and ran for one year. Springfield returned to music in 1981 with the album “Working Class Dog”. Most notable on this album were the singles "Jessie’s Girl", which went to #1 on the Billboard charts, and "I’ve Done Everything for You" which was written by Sammy Hagar, and reached #8 on Billboard. Springfield won a Grammy in 1982 for "Best Male Rock Vocal Performance" for "Jessie’s Girl". He was also nominated for a second Grammy in 1982 and a third Grammy in 1983. His subsequent 1982 album “Success Hasn’t Spoiled Me Yet”, also contained a string of top 40 hits including the #2 hit "Don’t Talk to Strangers" and the ballad "What Kind of Fool Am I?" His 1983 album “Living in Oz” contained more serious subject matter, and more of a hard-rock sound. The album went platinum on the strength of the hits "Human Touch", "Souls", and "Affair of the Heart". That same year he won an American Music Award for "Favorite Pop/Rock Male Artist" along with John Cougar Mellencamp. In addition to rock-stardom, the roles on television and in film, Springfield also acted in musical theatre. In 1995, he was a member of the original Broadway cast of the Tony Award-nominated musical “Smokey Joe’s Café”.

My sister e-mailed me yesterday to let me know she's considering the cruise. She also added that Mr. Jessie's Girl will also be on a few "Californication" episodes.

What exactly is that release for? Please don't make me read it.

Speaking of this, Brian Boitano's new cooking show is really, really good, except that new episodes are at hangover o'clock on Saturday or Sunday mornings. It is a weird, campy, funny show.
