A turtle has finally defeated Master Splinter.

Note: Video might NSFW. Or not. I dunno. You could probably use it to make some co-workers cringe though.

Before folks start talking about cruelty...

The important bit, taken from the video description...

I've never seen a turtle kill shit before. I thought the video was interesting. The rodents were dying whether the camera was on or not. That's not to say that I didn't feel sorry for them; I did. I can't say that I was appalled by the video though. Nature is sometimes brutal.

I think the cruelty comes from the Beavis and Butthead-like need to film it and slap it onto the 'net. I didn't need to see that.

    That's just pathetic.

    Turtles will fuck you up.

I used to frequent a swimming hole until I stood on the bridge and saw a turtle swimming just under the surface whose shell must've been 4 feet across. Needless to say I didn't go back there.

You gotta watch out for them when you go noodling, too. A chain mail glove like the kind butchers wear is a good idea.

Wish I hadn't clicked the related link on the python eating the live chick.

Granted there is a certain cinematic flair to the editing. Filming it in its self isn't cruel though. Neither is putting it on the internet. I never knew turtles were so violent. I though that the video was interesting. I've seen some incredibly fucked up things on the Discovery Channel. Are they cruel as well? I mean, they didn't need to show them on TV.

They're not. They're just being turtles.

How many SportsJournalists.com residents do you reckon have been noodling?
