Yeah, but every once in a while, you can still hope A-Rod pops out a homer.

    Nix doesn't even have that.

Nunez is not on the ALCS roster.

Yanks are going down in 4, might as well go down with ARod at short

Nunez can (and I assume will) be added. They just need a note from Jetes' doctor and Jetes is ineligible for the next round (WS), neither of which will be an issue. The Reds added Leake this way when Cueto got hurt.

I saw the pertinent portion of Girardi's presser on TBS. Didn't strike me he was close to tears. Thought he was composed and up front.

Nunez and Nix were taking ground balls in practice at Shortstop today.

Still no Manky sighting ... should we be worried?

Manky has been bent over a hot stove all day preparing him a nice beefy stew.

Don't joke. The poor chap probably cried himself to sleep. Like one of those cries where the kid actually begins heaving and losing oxygen to the brain.

I have this theory that A-Rod often fails in the clutch, and in the playoffs, because he wants so hard to be loved like Jeter is loved, and he can never attain that, and that just grinds away in the back of his mind. So if A-Rod suddenly turns into Superman again, well, there's a lot to be said about scary little things buried in our subconscious, and the unburdening of make-believe beasts, etc., etc.
