It's all part of that saying, "if you love something, set it free. If it comes back, it's yours. If it doesn't come back, hunt it down and kill it."

If you're not giving the animal a chance, i.e. locking it a pin where you can't get out, you're not hunting, you're simply killing for the sake of killing.

Oh, and the "hunts" where you log on to some Web site and click your mouse to fire a gun that's aimed directly at an animal (I've heard they're tied, but I don't know that for a fact), not even close to hunting. That's a firing squad. If you wanna hunt exotic game, go to Africa and do it right.

I don't feel the same way... If you are pointing a gun at a living thing and shooting bullets at it in an attempt to kill it, you're an animal killer... by my definition, at least. To me, the rest is just rationalization.
