Yeah, the swift, sudden injection of a drug that makes you paralyzed for 15 seconds was a bit over the top. Why not just a scary-looking guy who stands next to her in the parking lot and says, "nice-looking kid you have there ... too bad if anything were to happen to him."

Other than that, loved the show and can't want for the next. I'm only praying we get a good 20 seconds of Kathleen Robertson skin every week.

didn't watch the second episode yet, but i thought that the first episode was great. was it supposed to take place over one day? It seemed like it was and if so, that's a bit insane that a guy would have his ears cut off and would still make the event that night.

Glasses on, panties down, blouse open. I Love Cable TV.

The Mayor's sister is a priest with a heroin addiction who has sex with her ghetto drug dealer. How does network TV compete with that?

The glasses are the PERFECT touch for her "look", no doubt.

If Kathleen Robertson and the candidate for governor are going to have sex in the hallway every show, she might as well not wear any panties.

According to her bio, she's 38. Still got the bod of an 18 year old.

Just watched the second episode -- anyone else think that the show would be just as compelling without the disease storyline? I guess they needed it to connect him with the daughter after an estrangement, but it's interesting enough without it.

I guess that Cranston has the Emmy until he decides not to be nominated, but two great episodes from Kelsey.

As I noted on the other show, I'm really digging this...like the Mamet/Sorkin script vibe especially.

Well, other than the aforementioned bangin' Kitty.

It's a companion show to Boardwalk Empire in a lot of ways.

And is there any other city you could set this show in, other than Chicago? Maybe Las Vegas, I suppose. But that's about it.

Oh, and the reporter dude? He's Jane Fonda's son.
