    "My Antonia," by Willa Cather.

    "Absolutly American," that recent West Point book

    "The Long, Gray Line," that other West Point book about the Class of 1966.

    "A Civil War," by Feinstein

    "The Son Also Rises."

    Gawd, how I hated that book. I'm actually glad to hear someone liked it, though.

    Love that book. She's the female Hemmingway, with a spare yet descriptive style. Anyone who has lived on the Plains can instantly identify with what she writes about.

    Well, I've lived on the plains nad love Hemingway, and I've hated almost everything I ever read by Cather.

    Different strokes, I guess...

    Honest to God, I thought this said Boots...

    Having said that, I know one for sure is Glory and The Dream by William Manchester
