    I'm about 3/4 through "Desperate Networks" by NYT's Bill Carter. Interesting read. All about the four major networks and how they stumbled into and tripped over opportunities to put shows like CSI, Lost, Desperate Housewives, American Idol on the air. Lot of background about how those shows made it, which TV execs effed up, etc.
