    That was my thought.

    But you can hit some guy and have him splatter your windshield, drive away and just get a ticket for it? I guess as long as you have a good excuse like "I didn't know I hit someone," it's OK.

    Novak is known for being an aggressive driver, telling the Washington Post's Reliable Source column back in 2001, "I really hate jaywalkers. I despise them. Since I don't run the country, all I can do is yell at 'em. The other option is to run 'em over, but as a compassionate conservative, I would never do that."

    Here's what bothers me:

    Dear Mr. Novak: You didn't know you hit him? Horseshit, asshole.

    And he was only cited for failing to yield? He left the scene. That should mean a ride in the back of a patrol car at a minimum.
