Pulled from the starting lineup 15 minutes before start of today's game. Speculate at will.

Fox has him going to the Janks -- without NY having to give up its two best prospects.

Well, FWIW, it seems like the rumor everyone's throwing out there as of now is:

    Abreu + Lidle
    for
    Cabrera + Proctor + Clippard + Duncan

Cabrera appears to still be in the lineup for the Yankees, though, so take that FWIW. Also, Duncan and Clippard appear to be in the starting lineup for Trenton, though that game hasn't started yet.

And, yes, I'm spending WAAAAY too much time on this deal.

Why do I even follow this piece-of-shit organization?

Abreu to NYY for a great big pile of nothing.

    From ESPN.com...

    >>> The Philadelphia Phillies and New York Yankees have a tentative deal to send Phillies right fiedler Bobby Abreu and pitcher Cory Lidle to New York ESPN.com's Jayson Stark and ESPN The Magazine's Buster Olney reported Sunday.

Stark reported the Yankees will send 18-year-old minor-league shrotstop C.J. Henry -- their No. 1 pick in 2005 -- and 27-year-old left-handed reliever Matt Smith. The Phillies will also pick one other minor-leauge player from an agreed-upon list, while the Yankees will take on responsibility for Abreu and Lidle's contracts. Abreu is owed $15 million for 2007 alone.<<<

Ehh, overkill. How many players like this can the Yankees get? Seems boring.

SI.com is reporting that Proctor would not be part of the trade.

Yeah, no kidding. Poster above appears to have it nailed. I'm too befuddled to even care.
