This thread was supposed to be about Bo Jackson.
None of this other stuff is germane or interesting.

James needs to finish this season and play at least three more at this level orthisclosetoit to be in the conversation with Jordan.

I would take James (if he keeps this up for 4-5 more years) over Kobe and Bird and Magic, though, but not Kareem or Jordan.

    Negatory.

The thread is about Montana, Jordan, Jackson and Gretzky and how they are the greatest all time at their sports or as an athlete in Jackson's case.

Then the role of pop culture, Nike Marketing and the wisdom of the media in proclaiming them as the respective GOATs.

  4. I dunno ... The GOAT Pornstar had a LOT of potential.

Edit: To that end I submit Traci Lords.

Well, except for the rumor that Jordan Crawford dunked on him. I've heard about that, but the tape seems to be missing...

    I wholeheartedly agree.

Unfortunately, he joins Karl Spooner, Gary Nolan, Wayne Simpson, Don Gullett, Nick Esaskey, Ken Hubbs, Tony Conigliaro and others in the Hall of What Could Have Been.

There is tape of Jackson throwing out Reynolds from the track, running up the wall and all the NFL runs.

Now collapsing the batting cage for the Yankee scout? That sounds too good to be true.

And the thing is they were entirely correct both times.

In 86 Bird was better than Magic and was playing at a level that absolutely put him near the top of the "greatest ever" discussion. But then Bird's body broke down and Magic kept chugging along until he'd plainly surpassed him by the end of the decade.

You apparently did not see the 1982-83 Philadelphia 76ers play, when Moses Malone and even more so Julius Erving were two players upon whom defenders dared not breathe. Tweet!
