Blown call in Yankees game

Yesterday, most people agreed it was OK to say it was a blown call.

What most people had a problem with was this line:

"The boos from the crowd of 47,424 were probably directed more at Davis than Farnsworth. "

 

This just in: AP has editorialzed that Roger Clemens will sign with the New York Yankees. Stay tuned.

 

Except this Yankees' fan.

 

Sumpire? I have to ask - is that sumpire as in sucks like a "sump" pump? Is that the play on words here?

Not to thread jack but I'm going to a poker party on Saturday - does anyone have any good recipes for a quick dish for me to bring?

 

Two questions:

1. Did the call cost the Yankees the game?

2. Are there still 162 games in a season?

If the answer to both is "Yes," then who the hell cares?
