I got the heads-up last night that someone is going to try to set me up with someone. I'm not totally averse to the idea, but I am wary as my experience with blind dates, limited as it is, has not been especially positive.
My question is this: Just how shallow is it of me to ask to see her picture before agreeing to a date.

Just don't let her walk into a wall or out into the street.

Just go, stud. Not like you can trust the photos anyway.

Don't laugh when she tells you she's a virgin.

Unless she's totally fugly. A broken nose or leg is an easy, guilt-free way to end the date early.

Should I arrange for an "emergency" phone call 10 minutes in? That seems a bit much, and I really don't want to be that guy. Then again, I don't want to waste a lot of time with an uggo (OK, that was really shallow, but you get my point).

Don't worry, I'm sure she has a great personality.
