Me thinks it would make Windu wet his pants in hysteric anger.

On the other hand, for those who think it is funny, they probably take life less serious and have fewer health problems.

  3. They can't remake it because Richard Pryor, who wrote most of the Sheriff Bart part, isn;t here to do it again.

Jim: You've got to remember that these are just simple farmers. These are people of the land. The common clay of the new West. You know... morons.

I think Owen Wilson would make a good Waco Kid.

Choice out of left field for Mongo -- Abraham Benrubi; among other roles he was the desk guy in ER. Big dude, decent actor.

Too bad Ol' Blue died... he'd have been great as Gabby Johnson

Actually, the character Richard Pryor was most responsible for was...

    ... Mongo.

The story goes that Pryor was brought in to write the Sheriff Bart parts and generally help to make sure the racial humor didn't come off as just plain racist. But apparently Pryor fell in love with the Mongo character and spent most of his time with that. Brooks wrote just about all of Sheriff Bart. Brooks also wanted Pryor to play him, but couldn't get studio OK to do so.
