Bivens out at LPGA? Gannett irony

Golf World is reporting that Carolyn Bivens has reached a settlement to (forcibly) resign as LPGA commish, which has irony written all over it. Bivens is a former Gannett executive getting forced out on the same day Gannett is mandating another round of nationwide cuts.

Long arm of the law, huh?

Bivens hasn't worked there in five years. You're reaching.

If Bivens was an ordinary worker, yeah it's ironic. But I have a feeling she's getting a nice severance package, unlike the rest of the Gannett employees that were dumped.

Yeah, but you gotta admit the timing in her case is worth a mention in the annals of, granted, trivial history.
