    Since when did Marv Albert get the nickname Pontiac?

    Absolutely! My first car was a '64 Catalina Super Sport Coupe. 389 V8. It got eight miles a gallon and I didn't care.
    But I haven't owned a Big Three-manufactured car since 1979. I drive a Honda Element. I wish I still had the Catalina.

    if you own a Pontiac, just be glad it runs and you have a need for headlights.

    It's better than riding Borat's mule in Kazakhstan...

    My first car, a 1953 Pontiac Chieftain, was bought for 300 bucks from a dude down the street, and restored over a summer in our driveway. (No, that's isn't my particular car above). Nice hunk of metal, and tough as hell to park. But easy to work on when something went wrong.

    Had to get rid of it when driving to assignments became more than that old bird and its original flathead eight engine could handle. And when the exhaust leak started making me see things while driving . . . . .

    Pontiac = Dead. To. Sportschick!

  9. He brought his tools over, did he?
    When did you have time to work on the car?
    Thank you.
    No, really, you're a great crowd.

    It's 10 and the only major issue it's ever had was the fuel pump going out about six years ago. I've had very few issues with the thing.

    Oh, and Fen . . . Dead. To. Me!

    Sounds like my Ford Escort. It came out when Fords were known as Fixed Or Repair Daily or Found On Road Dead. The only mechanical thing that's been wrong with it in the last few years was the brakes wearing out.
