Bills khakis (fixed)

Bought three new pair today ... badly needed, as my pants inventory was in sad shape.

I've been real impressed with the Bill's I bought three years ago. I'm happy that I could buy a (slightly) smaller size than three years ago.

Two pair in the classic twill (khaki and "mushroom" color, which look kinda greenish brown to me) and one black pair in a softer fabric. I'll reserve them for dressier use.

Any more Bill's fans out there?

They're incredibly expensive...at least $100 per pair, from what I've seen. And when you can find them on sites like sierratradingpost.com, the only colors they have are weird and they never have the original fit, which isn't good for me and my long rise, regardless of waist size.

I'm going to try out some from duluth trading co. and see how they fit...they seem to have practical stuff, good prices and put a premium on sturdiness.

Dan Patrick and you have something in common. Don't listen to Patrick much now, but he'd do ads on his radio show for them.

    I prefer Mountain Khakis.

A tad more casual, but incredibly durable.

Wow, great looking and you can buy them WITHOUT pleats, thank God. :)

Small problem: I've never seen them up here.

What's with these companies? They ignore a market the size of California?

Yeah, right up the street. I hadn't been in there in at least two years and he knew my name.

(He may have cheated by seeing my column head in the paper, of course.)

khakis are not very flattering to Bill. He should not use the tuck. Shirt out would look better.
