Green Day's lead singer wants you all to know he is not Justin Bieber.

You can, of course, understand the confusion.

I wouldn't have thought you could post two pictures of men and have Bieber as the masculine one.

Just in time for their three albums to come out... Nice timing...

Is this another case of "cocaine is a hell of a drug" or pill abuse?

Or bullshit to get out of the way of what are probably going to be three terrible albums?

A friend was at the show and said Green Day was amazing but Armstrong's tirade sucked the life out of the arena.

Justin Bieber might have done a better job of breaking that guitar.

Two decades ago, this is an awesome - and understandable - meltdown from a rock star in this situation. His band has been around, and maintained popularity, for a long time, and shouldn't get only 25 minutes at some festival unless the other bands are Metallica, Pearl Jam, U2 and Springsteen with E Street.

But in 2012, he has to go to rehab to explain being (rightly) pissed off.

From the last reports I saw, the whole "set was cut to give Usher more time" thing was not true. Their set wasn't cut. He was just wasted and flipped out when their set ended.

    Well that certainly changes things.

Still, it's a new world we're living in now regarding rock stars.

I recall reading an interview with Armstrong where he discussed his past (at the time) drug use and hinted that it had spiraled out of control. He also has at least one drunk driving arrest on his record. He might actually have a problem.

As a punk band as they claim (or once claimed) to be, they should be perfectly comfortable playing a short set. Just leave the American Idiot magnum opuses out. Play a few two minute numbers, collect your money and go home.

If he's pitching a fit about this, fuck him. They signed along the dotted line for corporate whoredom along time ago.
