So why does the title assume this guy is flying with angels?

    Two things:
    1) Sometime in the late 80s or early 90s, there was a great story in the LA Times about how while the two shared a name and a home field, Roger Craig had never met Roger Craig. So the reporter (Bob Oates, I think) bought them together. Since this was before the Internet, I can't find it.
    2) Mid-90s, I'm covering the state track meet in Norwalk. After one heat, someone noted it had been won by Roger Craig's daughter. A little later, I went down to the field and found myself by him. Been a few years since he retired, but still looked great.

Was he teaching people the splitter down on the field? Oh, wait. Wrong, Roger.
