If that would have meant her getting naked, I'd have been all for it.

    She was a nice piece.

"Raw" was some funny stuff in its time.

although Eddie might not have been funny in a while, he's done one or two quality movies over the years... Dreamgirls for one.

So, is Eddie the new Danny Glover?

I'm getting too old for this shit.

There is a reason this franchise died in the first place. Beverly Hills Cop 3.

Loved the first one. The second was solid. The third was shit.

When was the last time Murphy made a funny movie for adults?

Coming to America? What was that 20 years ago?

While I enjoyed the first installment, I never understood how it scored a Oscar nom for Best Screenplay. It wasn't that good. Whatever.

Yes, the third one sucked, but I'd be game for a fourth provided it can deliver the kick-ass goods as a PG-13 flick like "Live Free or Die Hard." But with Brett Ratner being pursued to direct, I don't have much hope.

You mean the Shrek movies weren't for adults? ;D
Harlem Nights (1989) came out the year after Coming to America (1988)

Die Hard 4 was great. But Willis has been consistently good for a long time. His recent track record is far better than Murphy's.

I don't think Murphy can still pull Axel Foley off.

Update: OK, this is making me a little optimistic
    http://www.mtv.com/movies/news/articles/1590230/story.jhtml

"The third 'Beverly Hills Cop' was horrible!" the once and future Detective Axel Foley laughed. "I didn't want to leave it like that. The first two were cool and the third one was sh---y. [Let's] get the franchise fixed again, clean up this old mess and do a good movie.

"[Don't] just leave Axel with his thumb up his a-- from the last movie," the comic continued, chuckling. "Whatever happened to Axel Foley? He's sitting in Detroit with his thumb up his a-- since 'Beverly Hills Cop III.' Let's take those thumbs out and make a great movie!"
    ...
Murphy seemed on the verge of quashing that notion in no uncertain terms. Although he hasn't yet read a script — and admitted that the franchise could go in any direction, including one that was toned down — Murphy was adamant that what he wanted most of all was for a "real" Foley. And that means a whole lot of swear words.
