Better bring back those overdue library books, right now!

I have a cousin who was arrested for not paying a $12 late charge for a movie rental.

 

As opposed to here, where it means ... oh, never mind.

Man, I had that happen, too. Scared the shit out of me. They even threatened to take it to collections to get their money back -- and did, because I refused to pay the whopping fine (triple digits ) they were asking for. I disputed it, because no way in hell I still have those books or know where they are, but what can you do? Fuckers were ruthless.

 

I just saw that. And yes. It's still in my library.
