    Lucille Ball
    Mary Tyler Moore
    Betty White

    Julia Louis-Dreyfus

(Huge drop, I'll be the first to admit some of these are a huge reach)

    Clair Danes

    Courtney Cox
    Edie Falco
    Marilu Henner
    Dana Delany
    Valerie Harper
    Patricia Heaton
    Sarah Jessica Parker
    Phylicia Rashad
    Susan Dey
    Felicity Huffman
    Teri Hatcher
    Marcia Cross
    Courtney Thorne-Smith
    Julie Bowen

    I'm sure I'm forgetting some...

The show is so much less without Danson.

As for the thread title ... Normal Lear: In the '70s he produced All in the Family, Sanford and Son, One Day at a Time, Jeffersons, Good Times and Maude.

Shatner? Capt. Kirk, T.J. Hooker, more than a few famous guest star roles?

JLD has vaulted herself into Mary Tyler Moore/Lucy territory with Veep. Having the so-so, long-running show New Christine show post Seinfeld was one thing, but Veep may be the funniest show on TV right now and it's between her and Amy Poehler for best actress in a current sitcom.

Best TV resumes? I was always partial to Charlie's from "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia."

The thing about Lucille Ball and MTM that a lot of people don't realize is that aside from their front of the camera stuff, they are responsible from some landmark shows through their production companies. Ball: Our Miss Brooks, The Untouchables, Mission: Impossible and yes, Star Trek.
MTM: Bob Newhart Show, Rhoda, Phyllis, Lou Grant, WKRP, The White Shadow, Hill Street Blues, St. Elsewhere, Newhart

The only thing Grammer has working against him is that he has two shows that lasted a year or less. It seemed like Boss was even cut short, although I thought it was a very good show...

Not too many people can say they followed up one 10-year (or close to it) stint on one show with another 10-year stint, but I'm not sure if Grammer loses or gains points for playing the same character the whole time. I tend to think it doesn't effect him negatively because the shows were so completely different.

Andy Griffith, Dick Van Dyke, Don Knotts and John Ritter would have to be pretty high on most lists.

Ritter had an 8-year run on Three's Company.
He had a two-year run on the Three's A Crowd
I think Hooperman got three seasons.
Hearts Afire got two or three seasons
8 Simple Rules got three seasons (He was alive for 1 1/2 of them).

He was also a recurring character on The Waltons.
