Best Sports Movie that doesn't end with a big game/fight/match whatever

No Hoosiers, Rudy, Rocky, Miracle, Slap Shot etc......go.

 

Man, it's hard to even think of many. The Basketball Diaries? Blue Chips doesn't end with a particularly big game, but it's not a particularly great movie either.

Ah crud. Duh.
I think the fact that the Bears went 1-13 that season (worst ever to this day) was one of the things that made that movie.

 

Field of Dreams?

 

How about Semi-Tough? The Super Bowl happens near the end of the movie, but the climax to the story is SPOILER ALERT with the wedding.

 

Well, in Play It to the Bone the end fight isn't the main event. Does that count?
