I'm thinking about expanding my DVD collection, the only Westerns I have are The Magnificent Seven and Blazing Saddles.

    Thinking about my favorite Westerns

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid
The Man Who shot Liberty Valance
    Fort Apache
    She Wore a Yellow Ribbon

    what others are great?

Almost any John Wayne western. McClintock is one of my favs.

I also picked up "Paint Your Wagon" in the $5.50 bin at Wal-Mart today. Clint Eastwood and Lee Marvin. I love this movie!!

Do you know a John Wayne movie called (I think) "Westward Ho the Women"?  I remember watching that with my brother when we were kids and he went into hysterics everytime the Mexican character said the name "Quackenbush".  :)

I'll add the Long Riders. I also liked Silverado.

Uh, not Young Guns ... or worse yet, Young Guns 2.

Once Upon a Time in the West is pretty good; got that DVD pretty cheap (has a lot of extras).

That vaguely rings a bell. Not the name of the movie, but the character's name.

They were taking a wagon train full of mail order brides out West, I think.

Love the Clint Eastwood & Sam Peckinpah Westerns:

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
    Pale Rider
    The Outlaw Josey Wales
    High Plains Drifter
    Hang 'em High
    The Professionals
    The Wild Bunch

I just checked imdb.com and there wasn't a John Wayne movie by that title.

He has 176 films listed under his name on that site!

    Don't forget:

    The Shootist
    True Grit
    Rooster Cogburn

Does anyone find it strange that women have dominated this thread so far? Just sayin'. :D
