You can have Dennis. I will take Perry Farrell.

Evil, on the best bassist thread I named John Taylor as my fav. But Simon just doesn't have the chops to be the best frontman.

Sorry... I forgot to turn on the sarcasm font for that one.

    I do like Steve Perry.

Journey stands the test of time. Just ask Tony S.

It took me 30-something years to finally appreciate Led Zep, and right now Robert Plant takes the top of my list, followed by Springsteen and Axl Rose.

    Distaff Division:
    1) Chrissy Hynde
    2) Courtney Love
    3) Debbie Harry

Diamond Dave, Roger Daltrey and Robert Plant would be my top three. Johnny Rotten - in the Pistols' first go - gets honourable mention.

I'll never feel tardy loving you, too, Flash. :D

And yes, there's a reason why I spaced these the way I did.

I would argue Mick Jagger, Axl Rose, Bono, Springsteen and Eddie Vedder are the best frontmen still touring.

Maybe Ozzy 20 years ago, but when I saw him in '01 he was just embarrassing.

Liam Gallagher can stare down an entire audience with a nonchalant air that demands your attention. Sure, he got that from watching the Stone Roses, but he's still amazing.

    He's the anti-typical frontman, I think.
