I actually meant Twist and Shout, stupid me. But yeah, the also did Shout.

Also, Handle with Care by Jenny Lewis, M. Ward, be Gibbard and I think Connor Oberst on "Rabbit Fur Coat" is excellent.

"People Get Ready", Rod Stewart (Curtis Mayfield/Impressions)

"Take Me to the River", Talking Heads (Al Green)

And seconds for Tina Turner's "Proud Mary", GNR's "Knockin' On Heaven's Door", and REM's "Superman".

    No. A TRILLION times no.

Nobody else gets to sing that song besides Stevie Nicks or Fleetwood Mac. Smashing Pumpkins desecrated the song.

  10. 10,000 Maniacs (and Colin Meloy, but not together)--"Everyday is Like Sunday" (Morrissey--it's always bothered me that the title is Everyday and not Every Day. is there deeper meaning, or just bad grammar?)
The Clash--"Police on My Back" (Eddy Grant)
    Joe Strummer--"Redemption Song"
    Prince--"Best of You" (Super Bowl)
Iron and Wine--"Love Vigilantes" (New Order)
The Hold Steady--"Can You Please Crawl Out Your Window" (Dylan)
Cowboy Junkies--"Walkin' After Midnight" and "State Trooper"
Husker Du--"Love is All Around (MTM Theme)"
    The Sundays--"Wild Horses"
