This was actually brought up on Bill Maher last night, but . . .

It's funny how the right has managed to turn "elite" into a bad word.

I want an elite fighting force.

I want an elite QB throwing to elite WRs.

I want an elite surgeon.

Likewise, I would like elite minds making foreign policy decisions. And I would like elite reporters covering them.

 

I want elite prep schools with elite children playing elite games who go to elite universities then to elite jobs. I want the government only to hire eilite contractors and elite employees. And I would like only these elite people making the decisions for the rest of us. I want elite juries with eilte judges and elite prosecutors and elite policemen to make my elite streets safer.
