    Baseball is a strange game and that extends from the fans to the guys who play it to the guys who cover it.

    Just out of curiosity, no one thinks the fifth inning is too late to be bunting when a guy's retired the first 12, right? Thought it was pretty ridiculous that the crowd booed that.

    Fwiw I didn't see any player oredia mber critical of that bunt, including Braden.

    Fans are dumb. Same way they always yell "balk" when a guy fakes to third, or they think every fly ball is going out or they stand up to try to catch a foul ball that lands six sections away.

    The fake-to-third, throw-to-first move, which I've seen work exactly one time, should be punishable by a balk and summary execution.
